2018年百万植树计划继续与灵武市白芨滩防沙林场合作,在白芨滩保护区大柳毛子风沙区展开,总面积为一千亩,总计栽植约二十万余株。
Working with Baijitan Tree Farm, we continued our desert control effort in 2018. The reforestation site is located at Daliumaozi sand area, Baijitan Nature Reserve, Lingwu, Ningxia. Over 200,000 shrubs have been planted, covering a total area of 66.7 hectares.
在2023年,2018-NX林地的柠条总存活率为22%。柠条均高为105.53厘米,平均冠径为65.86厘米,与前一年近似。
In 2023,the overall survival rate of caragana in the 1018-NX forest site was 22%. The average height of caragana was 105.53 cm, and the average radius was 65.86 cm. The growth data were similar to last year.

Vegetation Structure of the Forest Sites Planted in Each Year in Ningxia
The ecological survey covered biodiversity index, dominant species, vegetation structure and coverage. The survey in 2023 found that diversity was related to the conditions of the forest sites themselves. The amount of the species had a tendency of first increasing and later decreasing over the early years. There was no particular pattern of the changes in the richness and evenness of the species in each forest site. The findings on dominant species were coherent to the forest survey results of recent years. Agriophyllum squarrosum, as an annual plant was the dominant species in the forests in the beginning. After straw grids were constructed and shrubs were planted, the perennial plants and shrubs took over, which was a strong signal that microclimate in the forests improved by the afforestation work.
随随着林地种植时间的增加,林地从最初只有少量草本层发展成有较多草本层,最后又因为灌木层的生长,草本层逐渐衰退。这符合我们对植被生态系统演替的认识,说明在宁夏林地在草方格固沙并种植灌木后,生态系统得到了修复。2023年林地调查中覆盖度与往年大为相异,林地覆盖度普遍很高。说明林地中的草方格发挥了固定沙丘的作用。过去几年的调查推测林地覆盖度与种植年份呈正相关关系,但林地内部覆盖度变化受当年降雨量影响。目前的调查结果与这个推测不符,项目组将通过持续监测,累积更多数据将来做进一步调查分析。The survey showed that after the afforestation, the herb layers were gradually replaced by multi-herb layers and then shrub layers in the forest sites. It was coherent to our understanding of the ecological system. Overall, the ecosystem was restored after the straw grids constructed and shrubs planted in the forest sites. The vegetation coverage of each forest sites turned out to be quite different than previous years. Owning to the fact that straw grids constructed fixing the shifting sandy land, the coverage in each forest site was high. It had been estimated the vegetation coverage was associated with the planting years survey in recent years and the coverage inside the forest site was affected by the annual rainfalls. The results of 2023 forest survey didn’t have the same conclusion. Further monitoring and data are needed to make more analysis in the future.
