2018年,百万植树计划宁夏项目继续与灵武市白芨滩防沙林场合作，共得到18家林地赞助商的支持，在白芨滩保护区内总计治沙一千亩，栽植各类灌木共二十万余株。
Supported by 18 forest sponsors, the Million Tree Project continued its desert control efforts to work with Baijitan Tree Farm in 2018. Another 200,000 shrubs have been planted, covering a total area of 66.7 hectares in Baijitan Nature Reserve.

根据当地气候、水文情况。项目将采用灌木种植搭配草方格固沙的模式进行治沙以及生态恢复工作。每块沙地一般会需要4轮种植来确保造林效果，以确保灌木树种的亩栽植量不低于180株/亩。
According to local climate condition and hydrologic regime, we choose to plant a mix of shrubs and grass on the straw girds constructed to control sand movements. In every forest, we need to plant four times to make sure there could be more than 180 shrubs survived per Mu.
第一轮种植已于2018年10月30日前完成，即完成了所有的草方格固沙，并在雨季完成了柠条、花棒的种籽点播。每亩点播在200到300格草方格之间，即每2×1格会播种一次，同时会配合1kg沙蒿的草籽的撒播。据统计当地每名工作人员每日可以完成约300平方米（半亩）沙地的草方格制作和种植工作，所以完成这轮工作需要40名工作人员约50日的工作时间。
Until October 30th 2018，we have finished the construction of straw grids and sown seeds of Caragana Korshinskii Kom and Hedysarum scoparium in the straw grids in the raining season. The planting density is two meter by one meter, which means 200 to 300 grids per Mu have been sown seeds in. In addition, 1kg Artemisia ordosica seeds have been broadcasted per Mu. One worker can do about 300 squares per day. It took approximately 40 workers around 50 days to finish the work.
第二轮种植会在2019年3、4月间开展，主要在第一轮发芽失败的草方格上补植柠条、花棒的一年生苗木或者进行沙拐枣的扦插种植。
During March or April 2019, we will plant one-year-old bare root seedlings of Caragana Korshinskii Kom and Hedysarum scoparium and plant Calligonum mongolicum cuttings in the grids where seeds fail to germinate.
第三阶段：根据实际情况，我们会在2019年8月份补种柠条、花棒苗木，同时撒播沙蒿草籽。
如必要项目会在2019年11月进行第四轮种植。
In August 2019, we will plant more bare root or container seedlings of Caragana Korshinskii Kom and Hedysarum scoparium if necessary, and also with some Artemisia ordosica seeds broadcasting.
And the fourth round of planting will be carried out in November 2019 if needed.

- 2018宁夏植树之行/ 2018 Tree Planting Trip in Ningxia
今年的植树活动从9月1日开始到9月9日结束，来自10家赞助公司和1所学校的63名代表参与了活动。活动内容包括铺设草方格，栽植灌木，沙漠徒步，参观沙漠博物馆等。
From September 1st to 9th, 63 volunteers from 7 sponsor companies and 1 school joined this year’s planting trip. All of these individuals came together and faced various hardships to construct straw grids, plant shrubs, and trek in the desert. They also visited the desert museum and learned about sand control efforts in Lingwu and nationwide.
