2023年百万植树计划在内蒙古通辽市科尔沁左翼后旗开展，分别栽植两片林地，共计造林地总面积为1942.9亩。林地归当地农户所有。
The Million TreeProject (MTP) 2023 forests are located at Meng Gen Da Ba Pasture and Charisu Town, both in Horqin Zuoyi Houqi, Tongliao, Inner Mongolia. The total area of trees planted on the two plots is 129.53 hectares, owned by local farmers.

2023-1林地位于甘旗卡镇东23公里处，大部分区域属于流动和半流动沙丘。根据当地气候、水文情况，2023-1地块采用了榆树、五角枫、杨树、小叶锦鸡儿混交栽植，目前已完成全部种植工作，后续将通过加强抚育、浇水等手段提高总体存活率。
2023-1 forest siteis 23 km from east Ganqika. The major part of the site is shifting sandy land
and semi-shifting sandy land. Taking local climate and hydrologic conditions into consideration, we chose Elms, Maples, Poplars and Caragana microphylla Lam as the main tree species to plant. All the planting work is completed. To ensure afforestation quality, MTP team will increase the survival rates through follow-up measures such as nurturing, watering etc.

4-5月降雨量较少，风沙天气较多，栽植的五角枫出芽率较低，杨树的出芽率较高。5月下旬多次降雨，林地内的发芽情况明显改善，榆树和五角枫的出芽存活情况约60%，杨树约80%。
During April andMay, the rainfall was not sufficient, and windy and sandy weather happened a lot. The percentage of the sprouted maples was low, while the percentage of sprouted poplars was high. In late May, there were several raining days, the sprouting of the saplings was improving. The survival rate of elm and maple saplings were estimated to be around 60%, and the survival rate of the poplars was estimated to be around 80%.

2023-2林地中发芽的树苗 Sprouted Saplingsin the 2023-2 Forest Site
2023-2林地位于甘旗卡镇118公里处，林地地势相对平坦。根据当地气候、水文情况，2023-2地块栽植杨树，目前已完成全部种植工作。林地内南部的生长情况较慢，北部土质偏沙但发芽情况较好。后续将持续走访，加强抚育。
2023-2 forest siteis 118 km from Ganqika. The terrain is rather flat. Taking local climate and hydrologic conditions into consideration, we chose Poplars as the main tree species to plant. All the planting work is completed. The trees in the southern areas were growing slowly. Despite of the sandy soil, the trees were sprouted very well in the northern areas. MTP team will continue to visit the forest sites and take follow-up measures.
