2020年,百万植树计划宁夏项目继续与灵武市白芨滩防沙林场合作，共得到12家林地赞助商的支持，在白芨滩保护区内总计治沙七百亩，栽植各类灌木共十四万余株。
Supported by 12 forest sponsors, the Million Tree Project continued its desert control efforts in cooperation with Baijitan Tree Farm in 2020. Another 140,000 shrubs have been planted, covering a total area of 46.7hectares in Baijitan Nature Reserve.

根据当地气候、水文情况。项目将采用灌木种植搭配草方格固沙的模式进行治沙以及生态恢复工作。每块沙地一般会需要4轮种植来确保造林效果，以确保灌木树种的亩栽植量不低于180株/亩。
According to local climate condition and hydrologic regime, we choose to plant a mix of shrubs and grass on the straw girds constructed to control sand movements. In every forest site, we need to plant four times to make sure at least 180 shrubs survived per Mu.
第一轮种植已于2020年11月30日前完成，即完成了所有的草方格固沙，并在雨季完成了柠条、花棒的种籽点播。每亩点播在200到300格草方格之间，即每2×1格会播种一次，同时会配合1kg沙蒿的草籽的撒播。据统计当地每名工作人员每日可以完成约300平方米（半亩）沙地的草方格制作和种植工作，所以完成这轮工作需要40名工作人员约35日的工作时间。
We have finished the construction of straw grids before the end of November, and sown seeds of Caragana Korshinskii Kom and Hedysarum scoparium in the straw grids during the raining season. The planting density is two meters by one meter, which means 200 to 300 grids per Mu have been sown seeds in. In addition, 1kg Artemisia ordosica seeds have been broadcasted per Mu. One worker can do about 300 squares per day. It took approximately 35 days for 40 works to finish the work.

今年生态调查和植树志愿者活动从8月15日开始到8月25日结束， 共计10名志愿者参与了活动。生态调查活动包括协助调查林地生长情况、覆盖度和生物多样性，植树活动包括铺设草方格，播撒草籽，参观沙漠等。
From August 15th to August 25th, 10 volunteers joined this year’s summer forest survey and tree planting activities. The forest survey includes growth index, vegetation coverage and biodiversity. And the tree planting activities include constructing the straw grids, sowing grass seeds in the sandy land. They also visited the desert and the nature reserve’s museum to learn about the history and achievements of sand control in Lingwu and nationwide.
