参加这次上海根与芽青少年活动中心内蒙古林地生态调查的志愿者有福了。 可想而知，在若干年后，她们看到干花，使用针线的时候，会想起与百万植树计划渡过的这个礼拜。
在台风“烟花”的影响下，志愿者有惊无险的来到了甘旗卡，准备今年的林地生态调查。由于报名人数较多以及邀请了来自辰山植物园的寿海洋老师，百万植树计划准备在今年进行生态调查的同时建立起属于自己的标本库。
百万植树计划的地区事务主管王凯早早进行了准备。买来了标本夹、卡纸、针线、相框、牛皮纸、宣纸等等。为了验证效果，还提前进行标本的制作。
Lucky for the volunteerswho participated in this forest ecological survey of Inner Mongolia conductedby Shanghai Roots & Shoots. It is imaginable that years later, when they see dried flowers or do some needlework, they will think of the week spent with Million Tree Project.
Despite of the influence of typhoon In-Fa, volunteers managed to arrive Ganqika, preparing for this year's forest ecological survey. Since we have sufficient volunteers, and also invite botanist Shou Haiyang from Chenshan Botanical Garden, MTP plans to setup our own specimen bank while conducting ecological survey this year.
Preparations have already been made by Wang Kai, the regional director of MTP. He bought some specimen clips, cardboards, needles and threads, frames, kraft paper, Xuan paper and soon. In order to validate the process, he made some specimens in advance.

在万事俱备只欠志愿者的时候，“烟花”台风的来袭打了百万植树计划一个措手不及，所幸所有志愿者都顺利到达甘旗卡，开始了本次的志愿者之旅。 生态调查作为百万植树计划一个长期的志愿者项目，一直以来都以艰苦著称。志愿者来到林地中，在难以移动的沙地中行走数个小时并且还需要顶着烈日数上数千跟草。在短短的四个上午里，一起走访了42个样点，在这些样点中发现了14302株植物。
When everything was ready except for volunteers, typhoon In-Fa caught us off guard. Fortunately, all the volunteers arrived Ganqika and started the volunteer journey successfully. As a long-term volunteer project of MTP, ecological survey have long been known for its hardship. Volunteers walk for hours through the tough desert and count thousands of grasses under the burning sun. In just four mornings, we sampled 42 sites together and found 14302 plants among them.
原本走访林地调查已经算是体力活了，但这次志愿者活动不仅于此。在上午进行完林地调查后，稍作休息后志愿者们还要对林地中采集的标本进行整理分类。这个工作量远远超过了原本的预计。最终在志愿者齐心协力的日夜工作中完成了25科65种植物120个标本。
It’s already hard work to carry out ecological survey in forest, but this volunteer project is more than that. After the forest survey in the morning, the volunteers took a short break and then started to sort out the specimens collected in the forest. Working day and night, volunteers eventually finished 120 specimens of 65 species of plants from 25 families.
