The Million Tree Project

2025年7月19日至26日，8位志愿者来到内蒙古通辽市科尔沁左翼后旗，与百万植树计划团队一起对项目治沙林地进行了生态调查。历时六天，经历过烈日暴晒、暴雨侵扰，志愿者们收获颇丰。

From July 19 to 26, 2025, eight volunteers joined the Million Tree Project team in Horqin Left Rear Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, to carry out the MTP forest ecological survey. Over the course of six days—under the scorching sun and through heavy rain—the volunteers gained valuable experience.

今年的夏天除了生态调查以外，还有林地调查， 6位志愿者和我们一起在7月10号至17号对老林地进行了走访。上一次林地调查放在7月还是2018年，那时候我们针对项目的老林地进行林地阶段性调查。而今年的林地调查分为三个部分：生长调查、土壤调查、树芯调查。

July marked the time for the Million Tree Project’s annual ecological survey, but this summer, we also conducted a forest survey. From July 10th to 17th, six volunteers joined us to revisit the forests that were planted in early years. The last forest survey conducted in July was in 2018, when we carried out a comprehensive survey of the earliest forest sites.This year's forest survey had three main components: ‌growth survey‌, ‌soil survey‌, and ‌tree core survey‌.

2025年百万植树计划造林在内蒙古通辽市科尔沁左翼后旗吉尔嘎朗镇开展。该年林地的造林地总面积为1150亩。林地归当地农户所有。

The Million Tree Project (MTP) 2025 forest is located at Jiergalang Town, Horqin Zuoyi Houqi, Tongliao, Inner Mongolia. The total area of trees planted on this plot is 76.6 hectares, owned by local farmers.

2025年4月4日至4月14日，来自9家企业、2所学校等共72位志愿者来到内蒙古通辽市，参与到2025年内蒙古植树行中去。志愿者们互帮互助、不惧艰苦，身体力行支持当地治沙事业，在风与沙、雪与雨中一同种下1077棵杨树，给自己也给这片土地留下了难以忘怀的记忆。

From April 4th to 14th, 72 volunteers from 9 companies and 2 schools participated in the tree planting trips in Inner Mongolia. The volunteers worked hard together to plant trees to fight desertification. In spite of the wind-blown sand, snow and rainpummeling the planting site, the volunteers planted 1077 poplars on the sandy land, and had the most unforgettable experiences.

2024年，百万植树计划宁夏项目继续与灵武市白芨滩防沙林场合作，共得到

19家林地赞助商的支持，在白芨滩保护区内总计治沙1600亩，

栽植各类灌木共32万余株。

Supported by 19 forest sponsors, the Million Tree Project continued its desert control efforts to work with Baijitan Tree Farm in 2024. Another 320,000 shrubs have been planted, covering a total area of 106.67 hectares in Baijitan Nature Reserve.

2024年10-11月，MTP项目组计划对2007-2024年期间栽植的林地逐一进行了抽样调查，历时11天，测量林地20块，样地87个，总计测量林木2490棵。

测量比例占近十年林木总数量的的0.11%。

During October and November in 2024, MTP team conducted forest survey in the forest which we planted from 2007 to 2024. The survey, which took 11 days, covered 20 forest plots, 87 sample sites and 2,490 sample trees. The survey ratio was 0.11% among total number of the trees planted by MTP during the past 10 years.

10月19日，上海动物园内，“我给长臂猿做玩具”帐篷展示、长臂猿主题互动游戏、科普讲座等丰富多彩的活动共吸引到两千多名游客参与其中。共有15个团队完成了18个丰容玩具的制作，邀请游客为自己的玩具投票、并开展有趣的互动游戏帮助游客了解长臂猿。

On October 19th at Shanghai Zoo, more than 2,000 visitors were attracted to take part in colorful gibbon-themed activities including enrichment toy exhibition, interactive Q&A, expert lecture and so on. A total of 15 teams made 18 enrichment toys for gibbons, inviting visitors to vote for their toys and conducting fun interactive games to help the visitors to learn about gibbons.

2024年8-9月，来自12家企业、1所学校等共119位志愿者来到宁夏灵武市，走进白芨滩国家级自然保护区，了解这里抵御荒漠化的故事。

From August 23 to September 3, a total of 119 volunteers from 12 companies and 1 school came to Lingwu City, Ningxia, to visit the Baijitan National Nature Reserve and learn about its story of fighting desertification.
